A note from the composer

Sound and scent, finally in the same room.

Hi — I'm Kevin. Composer and conductor first, perfumer entirely by accident.

I've been writing music since I was two. (Yes, two. There are video tapes. No, you may not hear them.) Somewhere in all that, a stubborn love of Mozart got into my blood and never left.

For most of my life I figured I only spoke one language: sound. Then I noticed certain smells did the exact thing a key change or cadence does; stop you mid-sentence, yank up a memory, quietly change the temperature of a room and slant the floorboards beneath your feet. Same magic. Different sense.

Parfums de Musik is just me putting those two senses in the same room and letting them talk.

Every scent here has a piece of music written for it; its own original composition, the same feeling carried from one kind of note and accord into the other. Soon you'll be able to listen while you wear. I'm working on it. Slowly. (Composer time.)

Until then — thank you for being here, for smelling something I made, and for humoring a two-year-old who never did learn to put the pencil down.
